Larke (Larkya) Peak is a newly opened peak climbing located in Gorkha which provides breathtaking trekking experience and peak climbing in the Manaslu region. This peak is one of the rarely climbed peaks but most satisfying peak to climb in Manaslu circuit trek. Manaslu has still its own amazing natural beauty that every trekker can have the maximum satisfaction of being in the lap of nature. Larke Peak and Manaslu trek lies in mid-northern Tibet Border of Nepal, offering the challenging alpine experience in the Himalayas. The peak has two summits, Sano Larkya Peak (5807m) and Thulo Larkya (6,249m) which provides magnificent views of Mount Manaslu, Ganesh, Annapurna, Himlung Himal and beyond with unique and rich cultural heritage and biological diversity.
The trek follows the way from Arughat to narrow Budi Gandaki River valley. Many Gurung, Magar, and Tibetan Buddhist culture follow up to Samdo which is the last settlement before Larke Peak and Larke La pass. Larke peak is pretty tricky and hard to find a top to bottom, so, knowledgeable guide is required for trekkers. As there are two summits of the peak, Thulo Larkya is the main summit. The journey to Thulo larkya peak is really challenging with experience and adventure of higher-level ice and glacier climb. So, from this climb, the middle base camp needs to be setup. The journey from Sano Larkya requires minimum effort for climbing and can be accomplished in one day.
